Privacy Policy for BloomFocus
Effective date: 7th April 2026
Last updated: 7th April 2026
1. Introduction
BloomFocus (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a productivity mobile application designed to help users focus, study, and manage work sessions using Pomodoro-style timers and custom focus sessions.
This Privacy Policy explains how BloomFocus collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the BloomFocus mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
BloomFocus is designed to be used without requiring account registration.
Depending on how the App is configured and used, we and our service providers may collect the following categories of information:
A. Information You Provide Directly
At this time, BloomFocus does not require users to create an account or directly submit personal profile information in order to use the core timer features.
If you contact us for support, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as:
- your name
- your email address
- the contents of your message
- any information you include in your support request
B. Device and App Information
When you use the App, certain technical information may be collected automatically by us or by third-party service providers integrated into the App, such as:
- device type
- device model
- operating system version
- app version
- language settings
- general device identifiers
- advertising identifiers
- crash data
- diagnostics information
- performance data
- app interaction information
- approximate location inferred from IP address or device/network data, where applicable through third-party services
C. Advertising and Ad-Related Data
BloomFocus uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to show advertisements in the App.
According to Google’s official disclosure guidance for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, the SDK may collect data such as identifiers, diagnostics, app interactions, and device information, depending on your app configuration and the version of the SDK in use. Google also notes that developers are responsible for ensuring their Play disclosures remain accurate and updated.
Depending on device settings, region, consent choices, and app configuration, ad-related data may include:
- advertising ID
- IP address
- device and app information
- app interaction data
- diagnostics data
- performance data
Ad-related data may be used for:
- serving ads
- measuring ad performance
- fraud prevention and security
- improving advertising services
- personalization, where permitted and configured
D. Analytics and Diagnostics Data
BloomFocus uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.
Firebase Analytics helps us understand app usage and engagement, including how users interact with features, screens, and sessions. Firebase describes Google Analytics for Firebase as an app measurement solution for understanding usage and engagement.
Firebase Crashlytics helps us identify crashes, app errors, and stability issues so we can improve performance and reliability. Firebase describes Crashlytics as a real-time crash reporting solution for app stability monitoring.
These services may collect information such as:
- app launches and session activity
- device and OS information
- app version
- crash traces
- error logs
- performance and diagnostics information
- approximate usage and engagement events
E. Push Notifications
BloomFocus uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications, including timer-related reminders or other app-related messages.
To deliver push notifications, Firebase may process device or app instance identifiers and related technical data necessary for message delivery. Because these are remote push notifications rather than only on-device local alerts, your privacy policy and Play disclosures should reflect that the app uses Firebase messaging services. Firebase’s official Play disclosure guidance covers Firebase SDK usage for Play data safety reporting.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide and operate the App
- enable timer, break, and notification functionality
- send push notifications and app reminders
- maintain app performance and stability
- diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- improve user experience and app quality
- understand usage and engagement trends
- display advertisements
- measure ad performance and prevent fraud or abuse
- respond to customer support requests
- comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of directly exchanging it for money.
However, we may share information with third parties in the following circumstances:
A. Service Providers
We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the App, such as:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
- hosting or support providers
B. Advertising Partners
If BloomFocus shows ads using AdMob or related advertising technology, certain data may be collected, processed, and shared by those services to provide, measure, secure, personalize where applicable, and improve advertising. Google provides official developer guidance for Play data disclosures related to the Mobile Ads SDK.
C. Analytics and Diagnostics Providers
Analytics and crash reporting providers may process technical, diagnostics, and usage information to help us understand app performance, usage, and reliability. Firebase provides guidance to developers on how its Android SDKs relate to Play data disclosures.
D. Legal Compliance
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with legal obligations
- protect our rights or property
- investigate fraud, security, or technical issues
- protect the safety of users or others
E. Business Transfers
If BloomFocus or its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:
- provide App functionality
- comply with legal obligations
- resolve disputes
- enforce agreements
- support security, fraud prevention, analytics, and diagnostics
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and whether it is held by us or by third-party service providers such as Google AdMob and Firebase services.
6. Your Choices and Controls
Depending on your device, operating system, and region, you may be able to:
- disable or reset your advertising ID in device settings
- manage notification permissions in device settings
- manage consent choices for personalized advertising where consent tools are presented
- limit app permissions through your device settings
Google provides privacy and consent support for AdMob integrations, including tools for regional consent messaging.
7. Children’s Privacy
BloomFocus is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under the age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction without parental involvement.
If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
If you later target children or mixed-age audiences, your ad setup, policy wording, and Play disclosures may need major changes because Play has stricter requirements in that area.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
BloomFocus may be made available to users in multiple countries. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards and the practices of our service providers.
10. Third-Party Services
BloomFocus may use third-party services that have their own privacy policies and data handling practices, including:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third-party services.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under applicable laws, which can include the right to:
- request access to certain personal information
- request correction of inaccurate information
- request deletion of certain information
- object to or restrict certain processing
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To make a privacy-related request, contact us using the details below.
Because BloomFocus does not currently require user accounts or cloud-synced personal profiles, our ability to fulfill certain requests may be limited to the data actually controlled by us.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App or through the app listing.
Google Play requires your privacy-related disclosures to remain accurate, and your privacy policy must remain publicly accessible on an active, non-PDF URL.
